Hi I'm the Carolina Storyteller Jonathan Phoinex. Let Me Tell You A Story is a way for me to combine my passion for storytelling with my passion for the paranormal. I grew up hearing the myths and legends of Georgetown, South Carolina. Alice of the Hermitage, Theodosia Burr and the Patriot, The Plat-eye and Boo Hags just to name a few. I loved the spooky history that surrounded me and as I grew up I wanted to learn more. I explored the old haunted places and learned the stories that only few knew.
Eventually I began sharing my knowledge with my children, my nieces and their friends. Every Halloween you would find me sitting in a rocking chair, my trusty skull Fred on a table beside me, surrounded by children from 4 to 14 telling my stories. Sometimes I even told stories I made up, like the Red Coats or The Vampire Witch of Cowpens. Children grow up, and eventually my audience had parties to go to, and listening to my stories wasn't the highlight of Halloween.
Thankfully I discovered TikTok and it was through Tik Tok I found a new audience who loved Ghost Stories as much as I do. This helped me find many spooky friends, like Victoria Jaye and Tally Johnson. I realized I had much more to offer than just a few videos in October, and now here we are. I happy to now share the many stories with you and my spooky friends who join me along the way.
